My 1970 Rupp is running horrible! It won't idle and bogs down at higher speeds. I think the jet screws are messed up but I don't know which is high or low and what are the standard settings. Any help would be appreciated!

Jon, First, run out and get a new spark plug. You would be surprised how a new plug can help. And it's usually only $2-$3. Then, side mixture screw is low speed screw, and screw under fuel bowl is the main (high speed). If I recall correctly, Tecumseh factory manaul says one turn out on both, but I like to start at 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 trun out on the low speed. Get it to idle then try to get the high speed. If it bogs down when you hit the gas, your a little too lean on high speed. Turn it out 1/8 turn and try again. Also, if adjusting low speed doesn't seem to do anything, then you need to clean the card. Tom M.
