72 Roadster

I'm looking for a 72 R2. I'm looking for something complete and original, preferably, and in need of restoration.

Question...I thought all 71s had colored frames and all 72s had black frames. Is this true? How else can you physically tell them apart, besides the number under the seat?

All 71 had colored frames, all 72 had black frames. Serial # isn't always proper for determining the year beings early 72 had 71 ser #s, early 71s had 70 serial #s.

Mid year 72s had small font on seat back, mid year 72 had oval hole rear sprockets factory installed
