I have just picked up a Roadster 2. When you start the bike it wants to go forward. What do I need to do to correct this? The bike has the original TC-1.

Provided that your idle is set correctly, the culprit is most likely a weak spring in the drive clutch(engine clutch). This is a very common problem on an original clutch that has a 35 year old spring. It's a 10 minute job to take the clutch apart and give it a good cleaning before installing a new spring. Contact Brandt at www.ruppparts.com for a new spring and you'll be ready to ride in no time.  |
