I have a question,
I am putting the front forks back on the Hustler that I am restoring, and it seems like the space between the upper and lower fork mounting plates and the head tube on the bike have a large gap. Are there supposed to be a washer between both mounting surfaces and one on the bottom with the lower mounting nut?
Thanks Super

Parts diagram shows flat washer at top. If you don't have one, those Repro parts list on Ebay are worth the ten bucks.

Forks mount using what looks like a large stove bolt (round head with square shoulder). Bolt goes down thru fork (that's why square hole), then washer (you will have to size it), then thru top bearing (suggest high speed vs low speed, they have less wobble). then thru lower bearing, then fork and nut.
I actually have two thinner washers, one on each side, between bearing and fork triple tree.
