Roadster engine size

I need to know if a 5 hp B&S motor will fit in a '70 Roadster. I know it came with a Tecumseh, but the motor is MIA and I've got the Briggs. I bought a go-kart with a '97 5 hp Briggs and a Comet torque comverter. I want to know if I can put that in the bike cause I have an 8 hp B&S for the kart.
I am also looking for a cheap source for other Roadster parts. (Forks, shocks, controls, brakes, etc.) I'm starting with a stripped basket case, so just about everything is missing or rusted up solid. Any info would be appreciated. Thanx in advance!

Shawn, it is tight but it will fit. Gas tank or engine removal required to change spark plug.....thats how tight a fit it is. I stock new and some used NOS, repo and fits all parts...shoot me an email with your needs

Is the rupp roadster concisered a 50cc motor bike?

Roadster is not considered a 50cc motorbike. it does actually have a 174cc engine from the factory
