Anyone know of a place in Claifornia that I can have my engine rebuilt. I have a HS-40. The engine runs strong but I am doing a complete restoration on my Roadster 2 and I figure since it is off the frame, I might as well have it done. I am also curious as to my options on buying a brand new motor from either tecumseh or B&S If anyone has a recomendation on a good motor right out of the crate I would appreciate it.

+Hey Ralph,
where are you in Cali? I live in Vacaville and just restored my Hustler last year. I do not know of any place to get the motor rebuilt, so I just bought a motor and did a HS50. You can get them from BlackWidow aka Brandt.

Hey Ralphy,
I do not remember what I paid for the short block it was not that expensive I think that it was like 300. But I cannot recall. I purchased a lot of stuff from him and he was always straight with me. I bought the motor from Joe actually who has since passed. He was the guy who is responible for a lot of the really cool Rupps that you see on the board. We are all lucky that Brandt has stepped in so that we can still get cool stuff for our Rupps.

Hey Dennis,
Yeaqh I have recently purchased some stuff for my Rupp from Brandt, he is a good guy. My bike is almost ready to put back together. I am having the frmae and swingarm painted right now and once I have the stuff I ordered from Brandt, it will be ready. I hope to have some cool pictures to add to the website.
