The gastank on the bike I just bought , the hole where the petthingy swrews into has been bored out too big. Does anyone have any Ideas?

Well, if you're a good solder'er you can buy solder at hardware stores that will bond to steel. Then redo a std pipe thread fitting into it. If not, see if a radiator repair shop. They might be able to do something. They may look at you funny, but give it a try. I bought a tank at the M.B. reunion for my son's Toyoco (a big Red thing from "Tired Iron"). It had metric theards that were larger than the std 1/4 " pipe thread. I enlarged the inner hole to fit a 1/8" pipe thread, and soldered in a steel "Female to male" elbow. No leaks, yea!
