just bought a rupp at a yard sale. judging buy pictures we've looked at it;s a tt 500. Can anyone tell us how to know what we have for sure? And where do you find the serial number? It has no lights, and no bracket for a front light. All the pictures we've seen show front and rear lignts. We just got it tonight and have no pics yet.

All TT500s had lights. If you have no light brackets, then you may have a "Goat." What motor do you have? If the motor IS tag is there send me the numbers. The serial number will not tell you what model bike you have. The serial # is located at gusset at gooseneck in front of gas tank

Blackwidow, thanks for your reply. The engine has been replaced with a Briggs & Stratton #61102 940558 62210 73. seller says it's a 2.5 hp. Rupp serial # looks like 77598? It has several layers of paint over it and is barely ledgable. No front light bracket as stated before, but is does have a rear light bracket. Front springs and rear coil shocks. Origional Rupp Trials tires and turbin wheels. Left foot rear drum brake.

Blackwidow, Forgot to mention tires are 14 x 6. Also has jack-shaft chain drive assembly.

All would have a license bracket on rear. Does the bike have disc or drum brakes? Does it have front brakes?

There is not a front brake. The rear drum brake is opperated by left side brake pedal. The gas tank that mounts in front of seat is gone (seller thinks he has it in his garage somewhere)

foot brakes were for 68s (not to say someone hasn't retro fitted it to a 69). 68s had disc brakes only, 69s had drum brakes only. Can you send me a picture?

Hey Blackwidow: Haven't had a reply from you did you get the e-mail with my pics? I couldn't figure out how to post them on this web site. I'm not a computer buff so i'm not on here all the time, but I will try to keep checking back for your reply. Thanks Rupprider.
