I have a 71 black widow with no motor but i got a motor that looks like a rupp motor but the carb is in the right port the tilt manifold i got goes in the left port does it matter? would it need a different cam if i put it in the left? ???

you have a 3.5hp or a later version hs40/h40 engine. Cam swap isnt a viable option due to valve sizing and material valves are made of

does 1 port have internal threads? If so that is the exhaust

Yes, but do they make a tilt manfold for the right port

the 71-72 Scramber had an angled intake on the right side

Hold hand on the port, and hand spin the motor.
The intake port will have a vacuum, the exhaust will push air out.....
