Hello I'm new to the forum.
I've nearly completed a BW restoration and have a question on cable routing.
I've seen pics of it routed both on the left side of the triple tree and on the right. It seems to fit in the Dellorto 90 degree elbow better when routed through on the right. I'd like to route it as it was routed originally from Rupp. Brandt or others, do you guys know?
Thanks..........

The best way I can explain... From a sitting position on the bike, the throttle cable will come out of the twist grip assembly and down to the triple tree where it will cross over the right side support and center(steering neck) and go between the steering neck and the left support on the triple tree and then continue back to the 90 degree elbow on the Dellorto. If you route it any other way, you'll run into a problem with pinching or binding of the cable when turning. Click on the link below to see how it's routed on my Black Widow. Thanks for the quick reply Ruppman. That is the best way to route it. It seems to be toooo close to the engine head as well when coming through the right side. Strangely enough, I happened to look through the 71 owners manual tonight and saw a BW pic with it routed on the right side of the steering neck. I'll leave mine routed as you have. By the way, I had seen your BW and it's a beauty. Wanted to post a pic of mine but could not figure out how.
Thanks again for taking the time........
