help identifying motor

hello i picked this bike up and now am trying to sell the engine and was aked how i know its a 4hp motor, im really not sure how to tell can you guys help me, what the hell is it.

Hi,
It's a 4hp(HS40) engine. The engine has a plug in the front for the lighting and the HS40 drop/slant intake manifold. The HS50 used a different intake manifold so its not a 5hp and the 3 and 3.5hp Tecumseh engine had the exhaust on the opposite side as the HS40 & HS50 did. So, its not a 3 or 3.5hp. Besides, it appears to be the original engine to the bike you removed it from which was a Roadster2. Rupp only used HS40 (4hp) engines on the Roadster2. Bill
