when I was a kid, we had an old rupp minibike. by the looks of it, it was the roadster.
this site is kind of making me miss it.
we beat that thing and it never broke down. we used to jump it off of a dirt hill and get some serious air.
the clutch never worked right, so when you pulled the starter, off you went.
we clocked it going down a paved road one time at wide open throttle and top speed was about 40mph... not bad.
all this and it was even an old bike back then and it still took the punishment. this was in the late 80's so, it must have already been well over 10 years old.
we sold it for $50 at a garage sale about 15 years ago to some neighbor kids. I wonder if I could track it down?
