Hey everyone ! I'm new to the group and new to the world of RUPP! This weekend I am trading my Honda XL250R dirt bike for a 3 wheeler and of course a Ruppster!
The Ruppster is estimated to be a 71' the frame and plastics are all in order but comes with a (unmounted) 340 fan cooled rotax engine, the engine has sat for 14 years without oil! So I have 2 general inquiries, I'd like to know what you guys do to your engines that have sat for a long time! I don't want to try and turn it over and damage things. So basically - What do I do with an engine that has sat for 14 years?
And what problems should I lookout for related to the rupp? Is it belt or chain driven .. Are engine swaps particularly difficult? I live in Canada and I am also not sure how my fan cooled snowmobile engine will do in the heat of our 4 months of summer heat!
