For all of you that are planning a rebuild on your HS-40 or HS-50, I highly recommend that you spend the few extra dollars and get one of these billet rods from J&L.
Even if you are running a stock carb, it just makes sense to go with the best parts available. If your crank is out of spec, (which most are) J&L can provide a new crank as well. Considering the design costs and machining, these rods are a bargain at the "buy ot now price"!
