hard to pull brakes

hi guys. i am new to rupps and was wondering if there was a way to set the back brakes so they arent so hard to pull. my little ones can barely pull them to stop so they really cant enjoy riding. the pads look good. any suggestions would be great!!!. thanks . also is there a way to join this site?

Joe, make sure cable is free and not binding. Also make sure brake pivot in backing plate is lubed where is rotates in the backing plate
